HFCL 5G NR Indoor Small Cell is fueled by Metanoia and NXP 5G chips

Metanoia Communications Inc. (“Metanoia”), in collaboration with NXP® Semiconductors NV (“NXP”), announces that HFCL has selected Metanoia’s 5G-NR RF transceiver, NXP’s Layerscape® and Layerscape Access family of processors for HFCL’s All-in-One 5G 2T2R Indoor Small Cell to deliver exceptional and dependable 5G cellular indoor coverage. Combined, the Metanoia RFIC and NXP processors enable an extraordinary compact form factor and the capacity for HFCL to deliver more than 1 Gbps aggregate throughput, making it perfect for 5G in-building solutions and Private 5G networks, such as hotel, MDU, campus, and more.

HFCL is a major technology company in India and overseas, delivering an extensive selection of next-generation communication equipment and integrated solutions. Its 5G portfolio consists of 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) and Transport solutions that serve communication service providers (CSP), companies, and industrial verticals.

The MT3812 RFIC from Metanoia is ideally suited for performance-driven and cost-conscious 5G Small Cell or RU applications. MT3812 is a low power Sub-6GHz 22 RFIC that enables 200 MHz bandwidth in Transmit and Receive TDD modes and 400 MHz bandwidth in DPD mode.

The high performance Layerscape family of multicore processors and 5G NR programmable baseband processors are a part of NXP’s antenna-to-processor portfolio for accelerating 5G deployments. This portfolio offers superior performance and security for infrastructure, industrial, and automotive applications.
