Rossum, the pioneer in cloud-native Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), today announced a partnership with Celonis, the global leader in execution management. Celonis will embed Rossum’s AI-enabled document extraction, capture, and categorization capabilities into its Execution Management System (EMS) platform. Through this integration, Celonis will be able to provide deeper process intelligence functionalities that enable customers to effectively identify and reduce invoice errors.

Organizations are increasingly struggling to keep up with the growing volume of invoices, leading to mismanagement and duplicate invoice payments. According to Goldman Sachs, this is a key cost center within companies. In fact, automating accounts payable can save 70-80% of the time, making document processing automation a critical factor in business success. Rossum’s IDP technology captures, processes, and classifies unstructured documents within the Celonis EMS and intelligently identifies, flags, and removes duplicate or inaccurate invoices for customers. This ensures the accuracy of invoice processing while eliminating error-prone, time-consuming, and costly human intervention.

“Rossum brings a unique set of document processing capabilities that will help our mutual customers improve duplicate invoice detection, increase operational efficiencies and save money while accelerating workflow automation projects,” says Ke Zhang , Senior Director, of Partner Innovation at Celonis. “We will collaborate with Rossum on technological developments while supporting joint go-to-market efforts.”

Based on leading process mining technology, Celonis EMS operates on a level above the underlying software systems. It uses real-time data from enterprise systems, desktops, devices, and third-party sources to “illuminate” processes. Celonis then applies intelligence to this data to identify the root cause of process issues, calculate the business impact and confirm the fastest path to resolution. This triggers automated actions in real-time to address inefficiencies and optimize process performance. The end result is that companies get a new and modern approach to running their businesses with intelligent processes.
