Perion Network Ltd., a multinational provider of advertising technology, today announced the start of a six-month CEO transition period. Perion Network Ltd.’s synergistic solutions are delivered across the three main digital advertising channels search, social media, and display/video/CTV advertising. On August 1, 2023, Tal Jacobson—currently General Manager of CodeFuel, Perion’s search advertising company—will be elevated to CEO of Perion. To maintain business continuity and a seamless transfer after Jacobson’s elevation, Gerstel will leave the executive team and stay on the Board of Directors.
The moment is appropriate for me to hand the firm over to the next generation of leadership since Perion is poised for long-term, profitable development, said Gerstel. “Since 1999, I have served as the CEO of five different businesses. I feel the need to recharge by taking a break. Tal is the right candidate to take Perion forward, and I invited him to join Perion more than four years ago. Tal has produced outstanding work for CodeFuel. In addition to considerably modernizing and improving our search advertising infrastructure, he also built a solid and cooperative partnership with Microsoft Advertising, which has helped us generate more income and cash.
