Datadog, Inc. (NASDAQ: DDOG), the monitoring and security platform for cloud applications, today announced the general availability of Datadog Continuous Testing, a new product designed to help developers and quality engineers quickly deploy end-to-end testing create, manage and run for their web applications.
Complex use cases in modern applications have made it extremely time-consuming for engineers to write, run, and maintain software tests, leading to slow release cycles. Datadog Continuous Testing provides a complete test workbench that simplifies test creation and maintenance and significantly speeds up test execution. With this product, engineers can create tests directly from the user interface without scripting, run tests in parallel and integrate with popular CI tools so that tests become part of their existing CI processes.
“Thanks to Datadog Continuous Testing, we’ve doubled the speed of our release cycle and reduced the number of critical bugs shipped to production to nearly zero in the last 12 months,” said Paul Vidal, co-founder and CTO at Collective. Work.
“Today, creating and running end-to-end tests is a time-consuming and error-prone process that many teams struggle to scale. This impacts release speed, as engineers need broad test coverage to safely deploy new code to production to avoid regressions. Additionally, teams need to make testing fast and resilient, otherwise developers will start eschewing CI so they can ship code faster,” said Renaud Boutet, SVP of Product at Datadog. “Continuous testing solves this problem by giving engineers a platform offers to quickly create, run and manage their tests in one place.”
