Google Cloud recently announced three new telecom products at MWC 2023, the greatest event of the year for the telecoms sector. These solutions are designed to assist communication service providers (CSPs) in digitally transforming their networks following hybrid cloud principles and opening up new income opportunities.
Telecom Network Automation, Telecom Data Fabric, and Telecom Subscriber Insights are the new telecom products that will provide CSPs with a unified cloud solution to aid in the construction, operation, and management of hybrid cloud-native networks; the collection and management of network data; and the enhancement of customer experiences via AI and analytics.
As a bonus, CSPs may now construct genuine cloud-native networks in a hybrid cloud setting, thanks to Google Cloud. With the latest version of Google Distributed Cloud Edge (GDC Edge), communication service providers (CSPs) may extend the reach of Google Cloud beyond their 5G core networks and into their radio access networks (RANs). With the release of Network Function Optimizer for Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), businesses will have the option of deploying their network functions to any Google Cloud region.
To make it in today’s digitally interconnected world explains Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian, ‘communication service providers are under great pressure to create and run next-generation networks against escalating capital and operating expenditures.’ “CSPs have the chance to bridge the gap between today’s connection and tomorrow’s connectivity by applying cloud-native concepts to network topologies and speeding subscriber development through a holistic data management source.”
