Today, Intertec International’s (Intertec) IT Services segment was purchased by FPT Software, the top technology company in Vietnam, to bolster its nearshore delivery capabilities in North America.
By utilizing the assets of both companies, FPT Software and Intertec are able to provide their consumers with a seamless experience after the first investment in Intertec in 2021 was a success. The company’s Technical Services subsidiary, Intertec Engineering, which focuses on aerospace and government, will continue to exist separately.
With the help of this investment, FPT Software is better equipped to meet the growing demand for Agile software engineering and eliminate time zone differences. The Vietnamese IT company will continue to make use of Intertec’s operational expertise and delivery facilities in Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica.
“Seeing the synergies and success of our relationship with Intertec made this deal a natural next step,” said FPT Americas Chief Executive Officer Dang Tran Phuong. “We are committed to providing exceptional services to our customers and have listened to their needs for a mix of offshore, nearshore, and onsite delivery models to help them realize their speed-to-market goals and provide 24/7 support.”
Customers of Intertec will find a reliable partner in FPT Software as a firm, offering more scale and choices for a worldwide delivery thanks to FPT Software’s large network of 27,000 people in 29 countries. Also, customers will be able to take advantage of expanded service offerings, including those in the areas of data, cloud, digital platforms, RPA, AI, IoT, business applications, application services, managed services, and more.
“We have worked with FPT for several years and we look forward to taking our relationship to the next level,” said Intertec International’s CEO Rickard Hedeby. “By combining forces, we can provide greater value to our customers and expand career opportunities for our employees.”
“Each M&A deal bears good fruit to FPT. We expect this acquisition to resonate greatly with FPT’s goal of expanding business operations globally, especially in the English-speaking markets,” shared FPT Corporation Chairman Dr. Truong Gia Binh.
The action will increase FPT Software’s position in the Americas and is part of its worldwide expansion plan. The firm adds 4 offices and roughly 300 new staff as a result of this investment. FPT Software plans to hire 1,000 people in the Latin American market over the next two years.
