Award-winning Austrian technology company Legitary offers AI-powered technology that automatically scans billions of streams to identify anomalies. Reviewing a music album becomes a matter of minutes instead of hundreds of hours.
How transparent are game counts on streaming platforms? This question is at the heart of everything Nermina Mumic does with her tech startup, which emerged from her PhD studies in 2019. Founded in the Austrian capital of Vienna, Legitary has since been fully bootstrapped, including €1M non-dilutive public funding.
Legitary offers an AI-powered soft audit wizard that can spot anomalies on the fly. The highly scientific approach allows the technology to analyze a music album in minutes, compared to 300 hours of traditional testing methods, by highlighting missing metadata, reporting errors and reporting fake music streams.
“Our claims are supported by simulation studies showing over 90% accuracy. Not only does this significantly increase transparency in the industry, it actually creates the first opportunity to check streaming counts without being dependent on streaming platforms,” Mumic explains.
Award-winning technology with more to come
In addition to winning the prestigious Midemlab Award (Marketing & Data/Analytics) in 2019, the technology company scanned more than 300 billion streams, including numerous Billboard 200 artists, to further promote transparency and democratization of IP rating tools in the industry .
“They give me peace of mind about the royalty reports we get from DSPs and they’re super easy to work with,” said Patrick Wolf, CFO of Cinq Music Group, of his relationship with Legitary.
